"If you don’t want Google Chrome or any other Browsers to remember your activity, you can browse the web privately in Incognito mode. "

Quick Facts -

  • Ads will track you even in “Incognito” and “private browsing” modes.
  • Incognito mode is really not private.
  • Incognito mode deletes your local search and browsing history please note it is just the content on your computer.
  • Websites, search engines, internet service providers, and governments will still be able to track you across the web.
  • Majority of people who use private browsing mode over-estimate and are not aware of the protection that private browsing modes offer.
  • Pro's - When cookies and extensions are disabled, malicious apps can't steal your data and it is largely reduced.
  • As per Chrome "Your activity might still be visible to:"
    • Websites you visit, including the ads and resources used on those sites
    • Your employer, school, or whoever runs the network you’re using

    • Use VPN or Hide your IP software.
    • Use Tor or similar Browsers.

  • What are you trying to hide?

I use “Incognito” and “private browsing” only for the bank and Social site transactions and rest I don't care much.
